Summary
With her father gone and her mother an emotional wreck, Andi Alpers is struggling to cope with her brother's death. She is on the verge of flunking out of school when her father reenters her life with a chance at a fresh start: a trip to Paris over winter break. There, Andi discovers a 200-year-old diary belonging to a girl named Alexandrine.
